Terms & conditions

Pilot version — last updated 13 October 2026. DigMusiK Limited (“DigMusiK”, “we”), 71–75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. Contact: stu@digmusik.com.

1. What DigMusiK is

DigMusiK is a marketplace for grassroots live music. Venues list rooms and book bands, bands build profiles and tour, and fans signal demand, buy tickets and stream music. During the pilot, features and regions open gradually; we may change, suspend or withdraw any feature with reasonable notice.

2. Accounts and roles

You must be 16 or over (18 or over to sell tickets or receive payouts). Register as a venue, band/artist or fan and keep your login details secret. You are responsible for activity on your account. One account per person or organisation unless we agree otherwise. We may suspend accounts for abuse, fraud or breach of these terms.

3. Tickets

Tickets are sold by the venue or promoter staging the event; DigMusiK acts as their sales agent. Prices include our service share (see section 4) and are shown before you pay. If an event is cancelled, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price to your original payment method. If an event is rescheduled, your ticket normally remains valid; refunds follow the venue's stated policy. Tickets are for personal use unless marked transferable; touting above face value may lead to cancellation without refund.

4. Our share and payouts

Our headline commitment is that up to 90% of gig and streaming profits go to artists, venues and collaborators. The exact split for each event or stream is shown before money changes hands. Payouts are processed through our payment provider (Stripe) to verified accounts, typically within 7 days of the event or month-end for streaming. You must provide accurate payout details and tax information where required; we may withhold payouts while verifying identity or investigating fraud.

5. Your music and content

You keep full ownership of music, images and text you upload. By uploading, you grant DigMusiK a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, stream, promote and display it as part of the service, and you confirm you have the rights to do so — including every collaborator's permission. Tracks must carry complete collaborator credits so splits pay correctly. We may remove content that infringes rights, breaks the law or harms the service, and repeat infringers lose their accounts.

6. Collaborator splits

Where a track or gig names collaborators, we divide the allocated share automatically in the stated proportions. The uploader is responsible for correct credits; disputes between collaborators are for them to resolve, though we may pause affected payouts while a genuine dispute is evidenced to us.

7. Streaming

Fan streaming is free and supported by advertising. Availability varies by region and rights; we do not guarantee any catalogue title will remain available. Do not rip, record or redistribute streams.

8. Forecasts and data

Demand forecasts, heatmaps and suggested prices are estimates from fan signals and other data — they are guidance, not guarantees. Booking decisions remain the venue's responsibility. Fan data shown to venues and bands is anonymised and aggregated; attempting to re-identify individuals is prohibited.

9. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no unlawful content, harassment, fake accounts or signals, scraping, reverse engineering, overloading the platform, or interfering with other users. Automated access requires written permission.

10. Liability

We provide the service with reasonable skill and care but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud or anything else the law forbids us to limit. Otherwise, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 or the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits where the law allows the exclusion. Consumer rights under UK law are unaffected.

11. Changes, ending and law

We may update these terms as the pilot grows; material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and continued use means acceptance. You may close your account at any time; we may suspend or close accounts for breach. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, with disputes in its courts (consumers may also use their home courts where the law allows).
