DigMusiK

Creator agreement

Version 2026-11-03 · Last updated 3 November 2026

This agreement is between you (the "creator") and DigMusiK Ltd (company number 16671712). It applies when you build, list or sell plugins on DigMusiK, in addition to our terms of service and acceptable use policy. You must be 18 or over, on the Pro plan, and acting either as an individual or for a business you're authorised to bind.

1. What you can sell

  1. Standalone plugins made with DigMusiK's tools from signatures of real hardware you own ("hardware plugins").
  2. Signatures made wholly or partly from software plugins can't be sold or included in a paid plugin. You can share them free.
  3. Each hardware plugin must name the unit it was captured from and credit every piece of gear in the chain.

2. Proving ownership

  1. Before a hardware plugin can be listed, you'll be asked for a photo of the unit's serial number (or identifying plate) next to a one-time verification code we give you, written on paper with your DigMusiK username and the date. For rare or high-value units we may ask for more, such as more photos, a short video, or proof of purchase.
  2. Your identity is verified by Stripe when you set up payouts. DigMusiK doesn't ask for or keep copies of identity documents.
  3. If you no longer own the unit, you may keep selling a plugin you made while you owned it, unless the new owner or a rights holder objects with good reason. Tell us when ownership changes.
  4. We may suspend a listing if we have reasonable doubts about ownership, while we look into it.

3. Building and pricing your plugin

  1. You choose which of the unit's controls to include, the panel layout, the name, description, photos and story.
  2. You choose the commercial model: free; a free trial period (for example 14 or 30 days); a limited free version (for example fewer controls or a time limit per session); or a one-off price. You may run discounts and codes through your dashboard.
  3. Plugin names must not use a manufacturer's trademark as the product's own brand or suggest the manufacturer is involved; describe the unit instead (for example "Rack 7's 1176 Rev D", credited as a capture of a UREI 1176).
  4. Your plugin runs only through DigMusiK, for buyers signed in to a DigMusiK account, and is protected by our encryption and licensing.

4. Selling and the revenue share

  1. DigMusiK sells your plugin to buyers as the seller of record: we take payment, issue receipts, charge and pay VAT and other sales taxes, handle refunds and chargebacks, and license the plugin to buyers on your behalf.
  2. Revenue share. From each sale's price we first deduct VAT or sales tax and the payment processing and payout fees. Of what remains (the "net amount"), you receive 60% and DigMusiK keeps 40%.
  3. Your dashboard shows every sale, the tax and fees deducted, and your share.
  4. Refunds and chargebacks are deducted from future payouts for the same sale's share. We'll tell you about each one.

5. Payouts

  1. Payouts are made through Stripe Connect to your bank account, monthly, for sales that are more than 14 days old (to allow for refunds), once your balance is at least £10.
  2. We may hold payouts for sales under an open dispute, takedown notice or fraud investigation until it's resolved.

6. Tax

  1. You're responsible for tax on your income from DigMusiK, and for any VAT registration your own circumstances require.
  2. The law requires digital platforms to report sellers' details and earnings to HM Revenue & Customs (and, where they apply, to other tax authorities). You agree to give us accurate information for this, and we'll send you a copy of what we report each year.

7. Rights you give us

  1. You keep ownership of your captures and your plugin's content. You give DigMusiK a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, protect, market, sell and license your plugin to buyers, and to use your plugin's name, images and description to promote it and DigMusiK, while it's listed.
  2. Buyers keep their licences to plugins they bought even after you stop selling, so they can keep using them.

8. Your promises

You confirm that you own each unit you sell plugins of, that your captures, descriptions, photos and stories are accurate and yours to use, that nothing in your plugin infringes anyone's rights, and that you'll keep your details up to date. You'll be responsible to us for losses caused by breaking these promises.

9. Ending

You can stop selling a plugin or end this agreement at any time from your dashboard; pending payouts are still paid. We may end it on 30 days' notice, or immediately for serious or repeated breaches. If you leave Pro, your listings are paused until you return; sales already made stay valid.
