Trademark notice

Version 2026-11-03 · Last updated 3 November 2026

Names used to identify equipment

DigMusiK uses the names of other companies' products, such as LA-2A, 1176, Fairchild, Neve, SSL, API, Pultec, Studer and others, only to identify the equipment that a signature reproduces or is modelled on, so you know what you're getting. These names are trademarks of their respective owners. Their use doesn't mean those owners make, sponsor, endorse, license or are connected with DigMusiK or any signature.

Research models

Signatures labelled Research model were built by DigMusiK from published technical information about the equipment, such as service manuals, schematics, measurements and peer-reviewed research, and trained with the equipment's controls. They aren't captures of the manufacturer's own units and aren't the manufacturer's products. They're our best reproduction from published sources, and their measured accuracy describes how closely they follow our model of the equipment. Where we've used recordings of real units, such as a research dataset, we say so and credit the source on the signature's page.

Members' captures

Signatures labelled Verified real unit were captured by members from specific units they own. Members name the unit they captured and credit the gear in their chain; the name doesn't imply any connection with the manufacturer.
